Our Story So Far...

900 riders. $175,000 raised. These are the totals from Climate Cycle's first two Solar Schools Bike Rides. As a result, nine schools with an enrollment of 11,000 total students have solar panels and environmental programs onsite. This is just the beginning. At Climate Cycle, "Clean. Energy. Movement." means relentlessly raising the bar. Because the more programs, panels, and community support we generate, the healthier our children's bodies, minds, and the planet will become. The time to help the environment and our children is now. I urge you all to participate in and support Climate Cycle's programs which will directly benefit our children, while furthering Mayor Daley's goal of making Chicago the greenest city in America. ~ Arne Duncan, Secretary of Education and former Chicago Public School CEO
